HEARING AID FITTINGS

As an independent audiology company, we are able to prescribe and provide hearing aids from any manufacturer.
We also understand that each offers different and unique solutions that can help to improve your lifestyle and wellbeing. Often with a variety of technology adaptable to different ways of living.
The earlier the diagnosis of hearing loss & intervention, the lower the risk of social isolation.
Our audiologists have complete flexibility and freedom to choose from a range of products which will suit your listening needs. Our aftercare services will ensure that you receive maximum benefit from your hearing aids.

Hearing aids are available in different shapes, styles, sizes and colours with a range of features.
During the consultation, a decision is reached on which hearing aids are most suitable based on several factors, including lifestyle, hearing test results, and personal preferences.
Hearing aids are no longer big, beige, bulky, and unsightly; they can be minimal, automatic, and have many features for the wearer to utilise and enjoy.
Once you have decided on the best hearing aids for you, we will arrange a follow-up fitting appointment. The main part of the appointment is programming and fine-tuning the hearing aids, where our knowledge and expertise ensure that your hearing aids will be adapted exactly to you.
-
1. During the fitting consultation your hearing aids will be programmed using computerised sound examples to imitate real-life situations.
-
2. Your hearing aids will be programmed to your exact preferences and settings to suit your individual needs.

Most hearing aids work with either a remote control or an app.
Which allows for connection via a smartphone for ease of changing programmes or volume on the hearing aids. Some hearing aids come with controls on the aids themselves. A wide range of hearing aids work with small batteries but there are many rechargeable types of hearing aid solutions available.
Hearing Aid Assessment
Our audiologist will conduct a comprehensive hearing aid assessment, which may include a speech test. This test is to determine how much amplification and technology level your hearing aid needs.
Choosing Your Hearing Aid
The audiologist will assess your lifestyle, hearing loss severity, and preferences to recommend hearing aids that suit your budget, style, and technology needs.
Ear Impressions
The audiologist might take impressions of your ears as custom hearing aids and some behind-the-ear hearing aids require ear impressions.
Programming Hearing Aid
After ordering the hearing aids you will be offered a fitting appointment within a week or two. At the fitting appointment, our audiologist will need to program the aid to fit your hearing needs, this may include Real Ear measurements or other hearing aid verification tests depending on the complexity of your hearing loss. Your hearing might sound strange with new hearing aids initially but in a few appointments, the hearing aids will work for you in all listening situations.
Learning to use your Hearing Aid
Adjusting to hearing aids may take time. Our audiologist will guide you on using, caring for, and maintaining them, including cleaning and battery or recharge options.
Aftercare
Our hearing aids include a 30-day money-back guarantee and a three-year aftercare package, with an option to extend by two years. This covers follow-ups, repairs, fine-tuning, annual tests, and consumables.

AFTER CARE PACKAGE FOR 3 YEARS
As great as our hearing aids are, we can’t just fit them, and never see you again.
FIRST FOLLOW UP
(1-4 week from fitting hearing aid)
We will need to adjust the hearing aids to your particular needs as you acclimatise to better hearing. It is our priority that you are happy with your hearing system. It is essential for us to measure how well you get on with your hearing in your own personal situations. So, after your fitting, we ask you to go out and try as many different situations and environments as you can. We will also need to adjust the settings again as you continue to acclimatise to better hearing following the first 4 weeks from fitting the hearing aids. If you are not satisfied with the hearing aids within this period you have the option to return for money back or try a different model if appropriate.
SECOND FOLLOW UP
(4-8 week from fitting)
By this point, your rehabilitation process is nearly finished. During this appointment, we will perform the final necessary adjustments and we will make sure you are getting the maximum benefit of your hearing system.
