Bone conduction hearing systems provide an alternative way of hearing by transmitting sound vibrations through the bones of the skull directly to the inner ear.
At Gatwick Audiology, we offer different bone conduction solutions to suit individual hearing needs, including the ADHEAR system and specialist headband options for children.
Adhear
With no surgery required, the adapter sits behind your ear, clicks on the audio processor, and starts hearing instantly. What’s more, ADHEAR is the only non-implanted bone conduction device that doesn’t put pressure on your skin.
Who is it for?
ADHEAR is designed for people with conductive hearing loss. With this type of hearing loss, the outer ear, middle ear or both are no longer working properly, which stops sounds from reaching the inner ear. But lets you hear without using your outer and middle ears. Instead, it gently vibrates the bone behind your ear to send sound directly to your inner ear, giving you natural sound quality. Its simple application and handling make the system an ideal and viable solution for both adults and children.
Children’s Bone Conduction Hearing Systems
We also offer specialist bone conduction hearing systems designed specifically for children. These systems are worn using a soft fabric headband or an adjustable metal headband, providing an alternative to conventional hearing aids.

1. Rental model ADHEAR

DETAILS
- Initial Assessment Fee £250 (covers tests and ADHEAR trial)
- A refundable deposit to ensure the device will be returned to the clinic.
- Down Payment – £500
- 6 months rental – £200 per month = £1,200 / 6 months
- 12 months rental – £150 per month = £1,800 / 1 year
- 24 months rental – £100 per month = £2,400 / 2 years
- Exit fee – lump sum
- The patient would purchase the Adhesives (6- 8 packs a year on average) A pack of adhesives cost approximately £55/pack)
- Rentals will have repairs free of charge
- 50% discount on lost device
